No Out-of-Hours Service: What You Need to Know About Our Workshop Hours

At Jonathan Fry Automotive Ltd, we’re dedicated to providing top-quality automotive repair and maintenance services to keep your vehicle running smoothly. However, to ensure we deliver the best possible experience, we operate strictly within our designated business hours. Here’s why we don’t offer out-of-hours service and what that means for you, our valued customer.

Our Operating Hours

We’re open Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM, ready to assist with all your car repair needs during these times. Outside of these hours - including evenings, weekends and bank holidays our workshop is closed, and no services, including emergency repairs or vehicle pickups, are available.

Why We Don’t Offer Out-of-Hours Service

This decision isn’t made lightly. Here’s why we stick to regular hours:  

Quality Over Convenience: We work best when rested and focused, ensuring every repair meets our high standards. Out-of-hours service could compromise the precision and care we put into your vehicle.
Staff Well-Being: We value our skilled technicians and believe they deserve time to recharge. Regular hours help maintain a healthy work-life balance, which translates to better service for you during the day.
Operational Efficiency: Parts suppliers and support services we rely on are typically unavailable outside normal hours, making it impractical to source materials or complete repairs effectively after closing.

What This Means for You

We understand that car troubles don’t always happen on a convenient schedule. If your vehicle breaks down or needs attention outside our operating hours:  

Plan Ahead: For non-urgent repairs, schedule an appointment during our open hours by calling 01482 521201 or texting 07400 171201. We’ll work with you to find a suitable time.
Breakdown Assistance: For emergencies after hours (e.g., a breakdown on the motorway), we recommend contacting a 24/7 roadside assistance provider like the AA, RAC, or Green Flag. They can tow your car to a safe location or, if needed, to our workshop once we reopen.
Vehicle Drop-Off: If your car is already at our workshop, please note it cannot be picked up or worked on outside our stated hours. We’ll ensure it’s secure until we’re back in operation.

Exceptions? Not Quite

We don’t offer an out-of-hours call-out service or emergency repairs, even for loyal customers. This policy helps us maintain consistency and fairness for everyone. However, if you’re facing a time-sensitive situation, reach out during business hours, and we’ll do our best to prioritise your needs within our schedule.
